This Windsor College diploma program has been designed to provide you skills in preparation for today’s office administration. You’ll acquire the administrative, software and business skills needed for a career in office administration.

    Windsor Career College’s Office Administration Diploma Program helps you develop the skills and get the hands-on training you need to pursue career opportunities as an office administrator, bookkeeping clerk, executive secretary and more!

    Graduates will be able to provide office support in the areas of information processing, report writing and presentations, software support training and electronic file management. Objectives Strong communication skills (oral and written) and grow your business acumen Advanced software skills including: spreadsheets, databases, presentations and electronic mail Improve business relations with a focus in team building, networking and project management Computerized Accounting Systems: payroll, inventory, financial statements,

  • Medical Office Administration

    The Windsor College Medical Office Administration Diploma program is a good fit if you’re interested in science, medicine, and working with the public. As a graduate of this program, you’ll be ready for employment in various work environments, including hospitals, private medical practices, and clinics.

    This program's purpose is to develop skills in four key areas: medical terminology, medical office administrative skills, medical transcription, Anatomy and Physiology Medical coding and billing using Medical software. The program also fosters the development of interpersonal skills, organizational effectiveness, and communication skills necessary to function in a medical environment.

    Hands-on Medical Office Administration Training

    you will receive practical, job-ready training in office administration skills, medical office practice and procedures, word processing, and medical transcription. You will learn through descriptions, illustrations, and exercises to identify the major anatomical features and systems of the body, and the common pathologies that can adversely affect these systems. Creative Arts, Interactive, Sound Programs

  • Learn the full breadth of creating 3 d Animation for video games — from conceptualization to production — under the tutelage of industry experts.

    Our teaching philosophy on Video Game Development focuses on you learning the language of games and building out full game loops. We teach you how to build a game engine from the ground up, in which you can develop new functionality for custom game features. You can also expect to translate the skills you’ll learn to other industries such as automotive, architecture, film, live events/concerts, animation, and simulation.

    To prepare you for work at high-quality studios, we use a project-based approach for both collaborative and individual game development using a variety of project management tools.

    As professional game designers, your instructors can teach you the latest industry-standard practices and help you create an extensive and unique portfolio to stand out to hiring managers.

  • Prepare for a career in any number of industries, from web to layout to advertising, with Windsor Career College’s Graphic Design Diploma Program. Throughout the program, you’ll learn to communicate ideas and create messaging for any medium, and graduate with the skills, knowledge and design portfolio that today’s employers are looking for.

    Our program teaches the key elements of Graphic Design, including typography, images, colour, consistency, alignment and layout. You’ll get hands-on training on industry-standard software using the Adobe Creative Cloud software, which includes Photoshop, Acrobat, Illustrator, InDesign, Aftereffects, Animate, XD, and Dreamweaver you will develop your project management and teamwork-building skills. You’ll be prepared to explore career options in collaborative work environments – or go solo and work freelance!

    Objectives

    Need to think like a designer? This program gives you a primer on the elements of design: typography, images, color and layout. Through a series of real-life case studies, you’ll learn how to evaluate designs using such time-honored principles as consistency and alignment. We help you to:

Engineering Programs

  • This Windsor College program is a  computer-aided drafting (CAD) using  CAD software in the market. It explores basic dimensioning, editing and drawing manipulation functions. Additional topics including tool and die making program and explores power work holding devices and modular tooling systems. No previous computer experience required.

    Objectives through a series of real-life case studies, you’ll learn how to evaluate designs using such time-honored principles as consistency and alignment. We help you to: Learn how to use the various CAD software in the market Develop an understanding of the significance and importance of CAD Become familiar with CAD/Engineering terminology, architecture and literature in a variety of media Develop basic skills necessary for communicating graphically the needs, ideas, and requirements of progressive industrial manufacturing environments in the Lettering/Text, Geometric Construction, Isometric and Orthographic Construction and others Grading System and Certification.

    After successful completion of the program, a Diploma certified from Windsor Career College will be granted.

    This program is approved as a vocational program under the Private Career Colleges Act, 2005.

Healthcare, Wellness, Pharma Programs

  • Personal support workers are a vital part of the healthcare system in Canada. In this Windsor College program, you will learn how to improve the quality of life of your patients, including assisting with their physical, emotional, and mental well-being.

    You will also learn how to assist clients with personal hygiene, mobility needs, getting proper nutrition, creating a care plan, helping with medications and cognitive issues, as well as identifying and reporting elder abuse. You'll also receive your Standard First Aid Certificate and CPR Certificate before going out on your practicum.

    The final stage of the program includes two practicum placements, totaling 310 hours over eight weeks, with one at a community organization, and the second at a long-term care facility. These work placements ensure you’ll be job-ready and prepared to move into your new career as a personal support worker.

    After successful completion of the program, a certification from Windsor Career College and NACC Certificate will be awarded.

  •  The Windsor College Pharmacy Assistant program is designed to prepare students for a rewarding career as a Pharmacy Assistant.

    A combination of instructor-led training with a 8 weeks of field placement designed to prepare students for a successful career in healthcare.

    The Pharmacy Assistant Diploma program also includes a field placement in a pharmaceutical setting. Work under the supervision of a pharmacist or pharmacy technician and learn how to prepare, package, and store pharmaceuticals. Some of a pharmacy assistant's responsibilities include filling orders under a pharmacist's supervision, entering client information, identifying the correct mixture or breakdowns for prescriptions, and preparing and processing paperwork for orders.  Students also explore pharmacy computer systems software, hospital and community pharmacy practices and procedures, drug dosage calculations, and compounding labs. In addition, instructors with industry experience cover topics such as ethics, legislation, personal conduct, and workplace safety. PR and First Aid also included in this program

    After successful completion of the program, a Diploma certified from Windsor Career College will be granted.

    This program is designed to provide students with the knowledge, practical skills, and professionalism required to assist physiotherapists in the safe, effective, and ethical delivery of evidence-informed physiotherapy services. Through classroom, lab and clinical experience, students acquire a theoretical and technical foundation in areas such as anatomy and kinesiology, human development, pathology, therapeutic exercise, functional mobility, and physical agents and modalities. 

    The program also emphasizes the communication, interpersonal, and reflective practice skills required to become lifelong learners and effective members of the healthcare team.

    Physical Therapist Assistants are employed in hospitals, clinics, offices of health care professionals, nursing homes, optical retail stores, pharmacies, and medical pathology laboratories.

    • Ability to accompany patients to treatment rooms
    • Ability to assist patients with maintenance programs as directed supervised by physiotherapist
    • Ability to assist patients in the use of therapeutic equipment as directed supervised by physiotherapist
    • Ability to provide support services to health care professionals Knowledge on how to clean, maintain records and inventory of supplies How to treat soft tissues and joints of the body through soft tissue manipulation.

Legal, Policing Programs

    In order to be successful on the job, legal administrators must possess the fundamental knowledge and skills that come with the right post-secondary education. The Legal Office Administration program at WCC College prepares students to step into the legal administration role as soon as they graduate. Students improve crucial administrative skills including knowledge of industry-standard office software, effective business writing, bookkeeping, and general office skills.

    Along with the principles of Canadian law and general law, they also learn about key areas of the legal field including civil litigation, family law, corporate and commercial law, real estate law, and wills and estates law.

    Graduates of the Legal Office Administration program will be able to apply their new skills and knowledge to administration duties in a law office or legal environment.

     

     

Technology, Networking Programs

  • The Computer Networking & Security Diploma program is a hands-on training program that strikes a balance between the latest computer theories and their applications.

    Students learn about real-life networking environments, which prepare you to take on a variety of information technology (IT) roles relating to local area networking, support, computer systems administration, network security and user support. Exposure to networking technologies will help you to develop problem-solving and analytic skills. You will also learn about the necessity for security and how the needs of information assurance affect all aspects of implementing, managing and utilizing network resources.

    Objectives upon completing this program, students will be able to: design, build, maintain and troubleshoot local area networks Integrate the computer and network security into the installation of network software and hardware, as well as business practices, usage policies, and user education provide appropriate technical support/assistance to other users troubleshoot and repair basic computer network hardware and software problems. Effectively communicate computer (and network) related technical information in verbal, written and presentation formats, Provide input to IT and business managers on using computers and networks to solve business problems and enhance productivity .

    Students will be required to obtain a score of at least 70% in each subject with an overall average of 75% in order to graduate. After successful completion of the program, a Diploma certified from Windsor Career College will be granted.
