    The Advanced Aesthetics curriculum is approved by the Ontario Ministry of TrainingColleges and Universities and Career Colleges Ontario. You will graduate with a Diploma in Advanced Aesthetics.

    Advanced Aesthetics Career Profile

     

    As an Aesthetician, you will unleash your creativity to make clients feel youthful, beautiful, and happy. You will also be called upon to help manage pre-diagnosed skin conditions such as acne or eczema. Ultimately, you are a master of skin care techniques and will regularly recommend the right beauty products for your client.

    An Aesthetician may also be called a Skin Care Therapist, Esthetician, Beautician, Electrologist, or Cosmetologist. You have a wide-range of tools and products available to you including lasers, wraps/peels, creams, makeup, massage, nail care, hairstyling, and waxes. As well, you have many career paths and specialties you can develop from retail to product development to spa management.

    Aestheticians are in-demand and can work in many settings. Some common work places include:

    Hairstyling students will participate in career building activities such as community outreach, field trips, on-campus salon & lab, industry & employer networking, and a special visit to the annual ABA beauty and hair show. The Hairstyling curriculum is approved by the Ontario Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities. The Ontario College of Trades accepts our Hairstylist Diploma as the educational requirement for your licensing.

  • Massage Therapy Course Curriculum

     

    The Massage Therapy course is designed to prepare you for taking the CMTO’s Registration Examinations (MCQ & OSCE). You will learn everything you need to become a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) in Ontario.

    The Massage Therapy course curriculum is accepted by the CMTO. You will learn advanced massage theory in health science, professional development, and clinical science. Additionally, you will get practical hands-on experience in our campus clinic and through community outreach trips.

    In order to successfully receive the diploma, you will need to complete 2200 hours of the program and achieve a passing grade of 70% or more. Successfully completing the school MCQ and OSCE Exams with 70% and more marks will give you also a mock licencing exam experience as our exams are designed in a similar format to those of the CMTO licencing exams.

    A Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) treats their clients by applying manual pressure to the muscles and other soft tissues of the body. Your work relieves pain, promotes healing, and reduces stress. A massage therapist is an expert at treating tension, soreness, spasms, and muscle or joint pain.

    You will use your holistic knowledge of human anatomy to identify root causes and develop a treatment plan. A client’s treatment can last anywhere between 15 – 90 minutes per session.
