    Program Details

Successful graduates of the Saint John program will be eligible to write the New Brunswick Registered Barber Association examination. Achieving a passing grade on this exam will allow graduates to practice as registered apprentice barbers. Successful graduates of the Halifax program will be eligible to write the Nova Scotia Registered Barber Association examination.     Program Details

    Makeup Artistry is legislated as a licensed trade within Nova Scotia. Upon successful completion of this program you will receive a diploma in Makeup Artistry and Design and be prepared to write the licensing exam of the Cosmetology Association of Nova Scotia. Passing this exam allows you to receive your license in Makeup Artistry. Only license holders are able to perform make-up applications professionally. The Makeup Artistry and Design program offers a strong and thorough foundation in makeup artistry, an important consideration for those wanting to participate in the Maritime motion picture industry. It is also a prerequisite towards obtaining membership within the motion picture workforce.     Program Details

    Are you interested in learning the core principles of accounting and becoming an administrator in the field? If so, the Accounting and Payroll Administrator diploma program is just what you need to kick start your new career. In this 60-week program, you will learn everything from accounts payable and accounts receivable to cash flows and balance sheets. You will take courses in finance, business, and bookkeeping to help set you up for a successful career in this industry. These skills are vital to fulfill the need of hundreds of organizations around the globe and a diploma in the right course will help you fill that demand. Successful graduates of this program who earn the appropriate passing grades for the Canadian Payroll Association (CPA) courses, namely Payroll Compliance Legislation, Payroll Fundamentals I and Payroll Fundamentals II (a minimum of 65% overall in each course, and earn at least 65% on each of the final exams), will be eligible to pursue CPA’s Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) certification. The PCP designation is nationally recognized as the standard of excellence for payroll training. To be fully certified, PCP candidates must satisfy the following criteria:
    • Obtain the Introduction to Accounting transfer of credit;
    • Maintain CPA membership either through an individual membership (a 1-year individual Associate Membership is included in this Eastern program), or through a company that has a Business membership;
    • Complete the CPA’s Work Experience Requirement Application (WERA) process, to demonstrate 1 year of experience (within 5 years after the start of the Payroll Compliance Legislation course) in which your job role involves paying employees accurately and on time, in compliance with legislative requirements, contributing to the full annual payroll cycle.
    • Complete the online Certification Declaration.

    If you’re looking to enhance your abilities in an office setting as well as gain medical experience, but prefer to have more control over how, when, and where you can study, then the Medical Office Assistant online program is the right fit for you. This program provides you with the opportunity to pursue a diploma at your own pace and offers online courses to give you the flexibility to comfortably fit an education into your busy life.

    In this program, you’ll focus on programming, scripting, game level planning and sound design, and publish your own games, from prototype to release. Develop games using Unity, Unreal, C++, C#, Java, Swift and more! You’ll also learn how to implement artificial intelligence (AI) into your own 2D and 3D games.

    CMTCA Accreditation

    The Massage Therapy Program at Eastern has been granted Preliminary Accreditation, the first step in the CMTCA accreditation process. Following a site visit to verify compliance with the standards, CMTCA will issue a final accreditation decision. The Preliminary Accreditation from the CMTCA is a reflection of the quality of our Massage Therapy program and is granted based on evaluations of several aspects of the program including Curriculum Content, Faculty and Learning, Student Support, Leadership and Administration, Human Resources, Resources and Infrastructure, and Quality Improvement. Preliminary accreditation has currently been granted to our Fredericton, Moncton, and Saint John campuses.

    Eastern College provides a comprehensive training program for Pharmacy Technicians in Nova Scotia.
